SEKOLAH SEBAGAI KOMUNITAS BELAJAR


School as a learning community in which there is interaction when learning is not just for students, but educators and the entire community there. Sekolah adalah rumah kedua bagi siswa untuk memperoleh ilmu pengetahuan. Kepribadian tersebut dapat tercermin melalui perilaku siswa sehari-hari di lingkungan sekolah dan juga lingkungan sekitarnya.

Bercermin pada sistem pendidikan saat ini, sekolah hanya dijadikan sebatas tempat untuk memperoleh materi pembelajaran, sedangkan pengetahuan akan sikap/perilaku masih terasa belum diperoleh secara optimal oleh siswa. Sehingga sikap/perilaku siswa di luar lingkungan sekolah jauh dari nilai-nilai karakter. Banyak pengaruh yang bisa mempengaruhi sikap/perilaku, terutama lingkungan pergaulan. Tetapi perlu dipertegas bahwa jika siswa memiliki sikap/perilaku positif yang diperoleh melalui pendidikan di sekolah, maka tanpa disadari mereka akan mengubah lingkungan sekitar menjadi lebih baik.

Apa yang dapat generasi penerus bangsa kita lakukan untuk menciptakan generasi penerus bangsa yang lebih unggul di masa depan?
Apakah dengan sistem pendidikan saat ini akan menghasilkan generasi penerus bangsa yang kompetitif ?

10 PERINTAH MENGAJAR GEORGE POLYA

Apakah anda ingat nama George Polya, matematikawan Hongaria (1887 1985), bapak “pemecahan masalah?” Ph. D. dari Universitiy of Budapest, ini fenomenal: menulis 250 makalah dan 3 buku, umumnya tentang pemecahan masalah. Bukunya “How to Solve It” laris manis, dialihbahasakan ke-15 bahasa. Yang menarik di sini, Polya mewariskan Sepuluh Perintah untuk Mengajar (Ten Commandment for Teachers). Saya ingin merefleksi sepuluh prinsip polya tersebut, terutama terhadap apa yang saya rasakan sebagai seorang guru. Walaupun saya bukan guru Matematika. Berikut penjelasan dari 10 perintah George Polya tersebut.
1.    Be Interested in your subject
Di awal pertemuan, saya berupaya membangun komunikasi positif dengan anak didik. Berbagi pengalaman hidup dan profil orang-orang sukses (dari referensi). Saya sengaja menghilangkan sekat-sekat psikologi, tak ingin dianggap paling tahu, dianggap “kasta” saya lebih tinggi.

2.   Know your subject
Sukses membangun hubungan yang positif, membuka peluang mengenali individualisme mereka. Ini yang dimaksud George Polya.

3.  Try to read the face of your student, Try to see their expectations and difficulties, put your self in their place

Kerjasama dibangun di atas semangat bantu-membantu, bukan paksa-memaksa apalagi disertai kemarahan. Ketiga, marah berarti kelemahan. Kita kalah saat marah. Orang yang membuat kita marah, mengalahkan kita. Keempat, marah membuang energi.

Jika 10 perintah di atas dijalankan dengan komitmen dan konsisten, maka bukan lagi sebuah angan-angan belaka hadirnya suasana kelas yang aktif, afektif, kondusif dan menyenangkan bagi para peserta didik.

Untuk memperbaiki diri dalam menyambut kehidupan masa depan yang lebih baik, paling tidak ada tujuh kebiasaan sukses mulia guru masa depan yang dapat dijadikan sebagai acuan bagi para guru dalam manajemen diri. Ketujuh kebiasaan yang dapat dikembangkan oleh guru adalah sebagai berikut, diantaranya:
1.       Menjadi Pembelajar Sejati
Sebagai seorang guru, belajar adalah kegiatan yang krusial. Dengan adanya proses belajar maka guru akan mampu menciptakan paradigma pembelajaran baru yang tadinya menjadikan siswa sebagai objek pembelajaran, berganti pada paradigma siswa sebagai subjek pembelajaran. Ketika paradigma tersebut telah terbangun dengan baik, situasi pembelajaran yang aktif, kreatif, efektif, dan menyenangkan berpeluang besar untuk dikembangkan di dalam kelas. Guru memandang bahwa sekolah dan ruang kelas sebagai tempat belajar untuk menjadi lebih profesional juga mengembangkan kemampuannya menjadi lebih baik.

2.       Menjadi Sales Konten Materi Pelajaran
Ketika proses pembelajaran di kelas apakah anda pernah menemukan siswa yang tidak memperhatikan materi yang anda jelaskan ? siswa lebih senang mengobrol dengan temannya ? Ingat ! Jangan salahkah mereka, tetapi cek kembali sikap yang anda tampilkan ketika memulai pembelajaran dan cek kembali menajemen kelas yang kita lakukan apakah sudah baik atau belum ?

Dengan adanya kegiatan PTK kita dapat mengetahui kekurangan kita dalam mengajar, memperbaiki kekurangan dalam gaya mengajar, dan sebagainya. PTK sendiri berfungsi untuk mengubah perilaku sendiri dan perilaku siswa, mengubah kerangka kerja proses pembelajran, yang pada akhirnya berdampak pada perubahan perilaku diri sendiri dan siswa dalam konteks pembelajaran.

Creativity is an inherent factor of every individual from birth. Born with creativity is something we can all be grateful for and used properly to others. Therefore, everyone has the potential to have creativity. Depending on how the person is to develop the nature of creativity. Guru yang kreatif adalah guru yang dapat memecahkan berbagai permasalahan yang berkenaan dengan pembelajaran dan peserta didik. Guru kreatif setiap waktu dapat memberikan pencerahan baru kepada peserta didik, dapat memecahkan permasalahan yang dialami oleh peserta didik, dan dapat menciptakan sebuah model pembelajaran baru guna mempermudah siswa dalam memahami materi pembelajaran. Bagaimana dengan kondisi guru zaman sekarang ?  banyak guru yang masih mengandalkan kondisi lingkungan pembelajaran apa adanya. Sudah merasa cukup dengan apa yang sudah dijalankan dan dicapai dalam mengajar. Padahal realitas zaman sekarang seorang guru dituntut untuk mampu beradaptasi dan berpikir cepat, cermat, dan cerdas dalam menghadapi tugas keguruannya.
Di bawah ini akan saya paparkan kepada anda beberapa pondasi penting agar menjadi guru yang kreatif, sebagai berikut:
1.            Tingkatkan Ibadah

Untuk konsisten dalam mengembangkan kreatifitas anda mesti terlebih dahulu memiliki pondasi yang satu ini, yaitu panjatkan Do’a kepada Sang Maha Kreatif agar diberikan kekuatan dan kelancaran untuk menjadi seorang guru yang kreatif. Anda harus meningkatkan ibadah Shalat Wajib tepat waktu, Shalat Sunnah (Tahajjud, Dhuha, Hajat, Witir), Puasa (Senin Kamis, Daud, etc), dan berperilaku Tawaqal, Husnuzhon.

2.           Ubah Cara Pandang Berpikir Anda

Sebagai contoh, anda merasa bahwa cara penyampaian materi anda kepada siswa tidak maksimal, kenapa bisa demikian? Apakah siswa mengerti dengan apa yang saya jelaskan? Anda harus menentukan deadline dari semua tujuan Anda. Misalkan, anda ingin tanggal 25 April 2016 menghasilkan sebuah Model Pembelajan baru yang berbasis lingkungan sosial. Selanjutnya anda mesti mem break-down apa saja yang anda lakukan setiap bulan, setiap hari, setiap jam, bahkan setiap menit untuk mencapai tujuan anda.

13.         Anda harus Take Action

The next thing you should do is ACT, sibukkanlah yourself, and keep moving. Priorities Define Your Goals. The faster you are, and the clearer your goals, the more creative yourself accomplishing your goal. You will also have more energy and time to learn. The more learned, the more quickly you can develop the capabilities of yourself as a teacher of creative and achieve something better for your future.
